Nansen Ichimonji - 南泉一文字
About
A uchigatana forged by the Fukuoka Ichimonji school—heavily shortened (ou-suriage) and unsigned. It is said to have received its name as a double entendre, referencing both the historical anecdote of "Nansen Slaying the Cat" and the legend that any cat merely brushing against the blade would be sliced clean in two. He insists that, by all rights, he ought to be a much taller and more fearsome Sword Warrior—one capable of silencing even a crying child... but claims that his current state is entirely the fault of a cat's curse.
