Manatsu is an extremely energetic and motivated first year middle school student who moved from Minamino Island to Aozora City. She always acts before she thinks, and her motto is "I'll do what's important right now!". Her most precious item is the lipstick her mother gave her. Cure Summer is Manatsu's Pretty Cure alias. Her catchphrase is "Tropica-Shine!" (トロピカってる～！)
